Detailed Description:

As a part of the BRIX team , you will have accountability and direct impact to deliver software solutions that support the use of modular content in the development of marketing tactics around the globe. The Ecosystem is a combination of multiple technologies (Adobe, Veeva, Custom) that come together to deliver an end-to-end business process. 

Brix test engineer will be responsible for designing the testing strategy as well as leading and managing all testing related activities on projects, he/she is assigned to. The role is to ensure low production issues, good testing practices are followed, and all types of testing have been identified and considered. It ensures the effective execution of testing strategies, tools, processes, and methods and provides consultation on testing matters to deliver compliant solutions to the business.

This role will be part of a larger Agile team and will require communication and coordination with other Lilly employees and vendors such as TCS, PWC to ensure fast, secure, and technically accurate delivery of mostly custom solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Designs testing strategies, processes, and methods with a focus on operational usage and reusability across BRIX components. Ensures good testing practices are followed by team members and vendors. Builds test plans for assigned projects and identifies all appropriate types of testing (i.e., usability testing, unit testing, integration testing, stress/load testing, vulnerability testing, system testing, acceptance testing, parallel testing, regression testing, automation testing and mobile testing). Works with the service provider, for the assigned project, to ensure proper training and monitors execution of tests to ensure right quality. Recognizes test automation opportunities and plans the effort, selects the tools and framework which ensures the appropriate training of the team. Works closely with DevOps team to enable and adopt continuous integration and testing. Identifies opportunities to improve testing processes through lessons learned or root-cause analysis and drives the implementation of these improvements. Ensures testing issues are identified, properly addressed and fixed. Makes sure proper regression testing is carried out every time when changes are made to a system already deployed. Co-ordinates the use and maintenance of test environments across IBU. Communicates efficiently testing status and issues to key stakeholders. Liaises closely with business stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing to ensure solution meets business requirements. Appropriately interprets and applies corporate testing policies and procedures, as well as industry best practices.

Required Experience:

5-8 Years of Experience Working with multiple internal IT organizations and external suppliers, virtually and across different geographies. Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and delivery processes (including waterfall and agile methodologies). Broad experience and deep knowledge in a wide variety of testing efforts, techniques, and tools. Good understanding of defect & testing tools (e.g., Jira, ALM). Detailed knowledge of both manual and automated testing (e.g., 1 or more Saucelabs, Appium, Selenium, & Jenkins) along with automation framework definition. Application of corporate policies and procedures. A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, collaboration, and teamwork. Good learning ability regarding technologies and business processes Strong communication written and verbal. Self-motivated to prioritize and complete multiple tasks without direct supervision. Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances, priorities.

Essential Skills:

Effective analytical, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical business partners. Ability to resolve issues across geographical and cultural boundaries A proven track record in software testing Evidence of creativity, pro activity and influencing skills English, fluent - oral & written communication. An additional language is an advantage.

Desirable Skills:

Certified in Testing (i.e., ISTQB) Prior Leadership Experience Scripting Experience is preferred. Experience working with Heroku and/or AWS and node.js.
