BU Description/Position Description:

This position is responsible for collecting invoices for an assigned customer portfolio. Additional responsibilities include analysing contracts, calling customers, researching disputes, reconciling accounts, following up on payment arrangements, and escalating customer disputes as required. The Collection Specialist will also lead staff training and activities, help drive key collection results and metrics across the team, and develop cross-functional relationships within BMC to support the collections function.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

· 3-5 years of experience in commercial collections preferably for IT & Software industry.

·Superior written and verbal communication skills

·Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel & Reporting

·Client-friendly approach with demonstrated proficiency in building client relationships

·Effectively working on portfolios by reaching out to customer contacts (B2B)

·DSO result driven (understands financial targets and forecasting)

·Responsible for collecting payment for assigned invoices, measured on success of invoices collected in each aging category and managing unapplied cash with refunds / applications

·Highly effective with account reconciliations

·Knowledge of Credit Assessment & credit exposure by identifying potential risks and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

·Ability and skill set to prepare and distribute reports

·Problem solving & Dispute handling skills

·Understanding of basic quote to cash cycle

Experience/ Qualifications:

1)Requires Graduation degree.

2)Master degree would be an added advantage.

3)MS – Office
