Senior Manager – SDET Lead - Quality Engineering and Assurance or Test Practice Lead
Noida/ Gurugram/ Mumbai
5 Days onsite
Contract with a possibility of getting Hire

Your Experience:

A visionary forward thinker who views quality holistically and can drive a quality engineering ethos throughout the POD. Understanding industry trends around tools, methods, and practice - implementing where possible. You must be a team player who can work across many teams to establish shift left quality and test automation approach.

Things you will do:
  • 14+ years' experience in testing and managing end to end project delivery
  • Demonstrable experience of working on successful test programs on enterprise scale applications or projects
  • Drive Automation and domain expertise within teams.
  • Propose strategies to drive adoption of new tools and technology to improve testing efficiency.
  • Manage testing software projects from detailed requirement analysis, developing test strategy, planning, test designing, documentation & effective reporting.
  • Consultation/mentoring to the module lead and test leads on test practices, strategy and planning.
  • Propose new analysis and effective conclusion for changes required in test lifecycle for effectiveness and ensuring consistent quality.
  • Provide quality metrics to leadership team or in-depth analysis of each release displaying trends and patterns.
  • Reviewing the requirements of different Test Phases required ensuring Quality deliverables.
  • Excellent management & client handling/communication skills with strong focus on quality of deliverables, Team building, Resource planning, Performance evaluation
  • Drive best practices and provide guidance to the stakeholders on Testing Practices.
  • People Management, Effective KPI discussion, guidance and mentoring. Manage conflicts internal and external
  • Conducting Technical Interviews and setting up training programs for project and test practice requirements
  • Own project migration initiatives, create proposals and support setup offshore delivery model
  • To own Testing initiatives, contribute to the same with thought leadership
  • Implements and helps co-create a test automation approach (working with all squads within the POD) to deliver the Test Automation Strategy including CICD, nonfunctional testing - performance, security engineering, compatibility, accessibility testing
  • Drives out improvements and innovation around tooling, frameworks and approaches working on shift left first principles and the automation pyramid
  • Able to work constructively with leadership to ensure the best value is being driven through the automation approach and that the approach is consistent with other PODs where beneficial
  • Works with the POD leads and the business/POs to ensure there is a holistic and consistent approach to Quality (through RCA, metrics, code quality, (defect) stage containment) and ensures cross communication and collaboration on QA best practices, risks and open issues across other PODs
  • Leads and federates the overall test approach to the portfolio - built-in quality, metrics, methods and tools
  • Leads process improvement initiatives focused on Quality, Velocity and Efficiency (agreed across the teams) with closer alignment to Business and Operations
  • Ensure consistency across all teams in line with POD strategy/maturity/priorities/global approach - undertaking quality reviews and deep dives to ensure there is a consistent approach
  • Input into PI planning, and subsequent resourcing planning - including skills profiling and identify training requirements for POD members
  • Identify supplier training requirements and feed into global KPI and supplier measures
  • Provides timely reports with qualitative and quantitative analysis of test coverage, defect trends & leakage enabling key stakeholders (including Squad leaders) for timely course correction
  • Define and design quality metrics and dashboard to enable the POD lead & PO to frequently gauge the quality of the software
     

  • What you will bring:
  • Strong understanding of Test Engineering and Quality Assurance best practices, tools and policies
  • The ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environment
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering Quality software solutions
  • Strong Leadership skills and a team player
  • Experience or knowledge of working with Agile at Scale, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience of involvement in Test Environment setup
  • Familiarity with Automation Framework Design and Implementation
  • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Good communication skills


  • Technical Skills Required:
  • Proficient in the following Scripting languages: JavaScript, Java
  • Strong experience of Mobile Testing and API test automation
  • Experience of using AzureDevOps for End-to-End Test delivery
  • Repository, CI/CD Pipeline management experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
  • Experience of Test Automation using: WebDriver IO, Sauce Labs and Selenium
  • Experience of working with ADO
