Mission of Role
This role involves collaborating with the marketing department to understand their needs, developing procurement strategies, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high-quality standards.
Role Responsibilities
MARKETING SERVICES SPECIFIC:
• Extensive expertise in the advertising industry
• Hands-on experience with influencers, and celebrities for brand promotion. This includes direct negotiations with influencers and celebrities or through agencies.
• Understanding of production-related content negotiations.
• Experience working with consultants and consultant marketing agencies.
• Knowledge of marketing touchpoints (but not limited to)- OOH, Print, sponsorships, events, PR.
• Management of mainline, media & digital retainer agencies & annual contract renewal negotiations.
• Well-versed in both online and offline marketing vendor selection and commercial finalization.
• Experience of Luxury marketing is a plus.
• Ensuring quick turnaround times for procurement activities. Proactive approach to support new source identification, assessment, and evaluation according to the strategic sourcing process (RFP/RFQ), followed by meticulous PO documentation and compliance.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams (Finance/Legal) to resolve commercial and technical challenges, ensuring timely contract and agreement implementation.
• Work closely with marketing teams and procurement leadership to develop vendor performance metrics and KPIs for service partners
• Coordinate & conduct periodic vendor/agency reviews.
Sourcing and Supplier/ Agency Management
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for marketing services and materials.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and manage supplier agreements.
Procurement Strategy and Execution:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for marketing services.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value for money.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
• Work closely with the marketing team to understand their requirements and project timelines.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on procurement strategies and objectives.
• Provide regular updates on procurement activities and supplier performance.
Process Improvement:
• Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement best practices in procurement and supplier management.
• Monitor compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Cost Management:
• Monitor and manage the budget for marketing services procurement.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
• Prepare and present cost analysis reports to management.
Qualifications
6- 8 year of agency experience or marketing service procurement in Alco Bev/FMCG/Pharma Post GraduateKey skills, competencies & experience
