As a Naval Architect you will have to work inclose coordination with the design team and client. Your Role andResponsibilities will be:
- Liaise withclient and /or class for basic design of ships and boats.
- Prepare preliminary GA and technicalspecifications.
- Should be able to do NavalArchitecture calculations covering weight stability scantlingresistance & powering propulsion tonnage hydrostatics etc.
- Should be able to do Class approval plans andliaise with class for all projects.
- Knowledgeof class rules IMO and flag state authority regulations (SOLASLloyds DNV ABS IRS etc.).
- Should have goodskills in Hull surface fairing.
- Knowledge ofany Naval Architectural software like MAXSURF or DELFT ship or NAPAor GHS is a must.
- Knowledge in finite elementanalysis for structural design.
- Knowledge inCFD for hydrodynamic analysis.
- Assist andperform any R&D related tasks and responsibilities.
- Should be able to lead and guide a team ofNaval Architects.
- Assist Business Developmentteam in presales.
- Mechanical and offshorestructures background with experience of structural analysis anduse of FEA software is desirable.
- Preparationof technical reports from associated analysis that will form partof the design packages.
- Should ensure thequality of work is maintained and delivery timelines met.
- Should have good engineering aptitude andproblemsolving skills.
- Willing to relocate onclient site either domestic or International on shortnotice.
- Any other associated task orresponsibilities assigned from time to time by the organization.
Job Requirements:
- You hold a degree inNaval Architecture or Masters in Naval Architecture or OceanEngineering/Ocean Structures/ Ocean Technology with minimumrelevant work experience of 2 to 3 years.
- Youhave worked on basic design projects in shipdesign/shipbuilding/offshore.
- You have goodcommunication skills and have minute attention to detail.
- You will be willing to continue to developyour technical knowledge and skills.
- You areready to serve the minimum service commitment of 2 years in ourcompany.
