Naval Architect

As a Naval Architect you will be workingclosely with the client to execute their design engineeringprojects with close coordination of your design team. Yourresponsibilities will be asfollows:

• Liaise with client and /orclass for basic design of ships and boats.
• Conduct detailed Finite Element Method (FEM)analysis of local structure equipment foundation and Global FEanalysis for ships and floating structures.
• Conduct mooring analysis for ships andfloating structures.
• Prepare preliminarygeneral arrangements (GA) and technical specifications.
• Perform all Naval Architecture calculationsincluding weight estimate intact and damage stabilitycharacteristics resistance powering and hydrostatic properties andother calculations.
• Should have good knowledgeof class/IMO/Flag rules and regulations and should be able to applythese in the design.
• Should have knowledge andexperience in structural analysis especially marine structures andshould be able to do scantling calculations using EXCEL.
• Should be able to perform the analysis inANSYS or similar software.
• Should haveknowledge and experience in performing buckling and vibrationalanalysis using ANSYS.
• Should have experiencein Naval Architectural software such as MAXSURF or DELFT ship orNAPA.
• Should have knowledge and experience indesign of mooring systems for ships and floating structures. Shouldbe able to perform Mooring Analysis using software like Optimoor orOrcaFlex.
• Should have good skills in preparingengineering reports related to structural analysis NavalArchitectural calculations etc.
• Assist BusinessDevelopment team in presales and postsales support to clients.
• Willing to relocate on client site eitherdomestic or International on short notice.
• Anyother associated task or responsibilities assigned from time totime by theorganization.

JobRequirements:

• You are agraduate or masters in Naval Architecture with minimum relevantwork experience of 23 years.
• You have workedon basic design projects in area of shipbuilding & offshore.
• You have good communication skills and enjoyhelping customers.
• You have minute attentionto detail and seek perfection in your work.
• You would like to continue to develop yourtechnical & intrapersonal knowledge and use it to retain &create satisfied customers.
• You are ready toserve the minimum service commitment of 2 years in our company.
