Position overview:As a Battery Management System (BMS)Embedded Engineer you will play a crucial role in the developmentimplementation and optimization of embedded systems for batterymanagement in various applications. Your primary focus will be ondesigning testing and maintaining firmware for BMS to ensureefficient and safe operation of batterypacks.
Responsibilities:
EmbeddedSystems Development: Design develop andimplement embedded firmware for Battery Management Systems ensuringcompatibility with different microcontrollers and hardwareplatforms. Collaborate with hardwareengineers to integrate BMS firmware with the overall systemarchitecture.
AlgorithmDevelopment: Develop algorithms forstateofcharge (SOC) stateofhealth (SOH) and other key parameters toenhance the accuracy and reliability of batterymonitoring. Implement control strategies forbalancing battery cells and managing thermalconditions.
Testingand Validation: Conduct rigorous testing ofBMS firmware to ensure functionality reliability and compliancewith safety standards. Collaborate with thetesting team to develop test plans and execute validationprocedures.

FaultDiagnosis and Resolution: Identify andtroubleshoot firmwarerelated issues collaborating withcrossfunctional teams to implement effectivesolutions. Develop diagnostics tools andimplement faulttolerant strategies forBMS.
Documentation:Create comprehensive documentation for BMS firmware includingdesign specifications test plans and usermanuals. Keep documentation uptodate withany changes or improvements made to thefirmware.
Collaboration:Work closely with hardware engineers software developers and otherstakeholders to ensure seamless integration of BMS into overallsystems. Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams to address systemlevel challenges and optimize overallperformance.
Complianceand Standards: Stay informed about industrystandards and regulations related to batterymanagement. Ensure that BMS firmwarecomplies with safety security and regulatoryrequirements.

Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering ComputerEngineering or a related field. Provenexperience in embedded systems development with a focus on batterymanagement. Proficiency in programminglanguages such as C and C for embeddedsystems. Familiarity with communicationprotocols such as CAN SPI I2C. Experiencewith battery technologies and understanding of BMSprinciples. Strong problemsolving skills andthe ability to work in a collaborative teamenvironment. Excellent communication skillsfor effective collaboration with crossfunctionalteams.
PreferredSkills:
Experience with realtime operating systems (RTOS) for embeddedsystems. Knowledge of battery chemistriescharging algorithms and thermal management.Familiarity with tools like oscilloscopes logic analyzers and othertesting equipment. Understanding ofcybersecurity principles for embeddedsystems.
