Job Purpose

The Design Engineer is responsible to develop design and analysis of components for existing/New products of Royal Enfield . The incumbent will be responsible for Designing components and aggregates in line with vehicle package and styling requirements. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the layout of the designs
  • Support software engineering to integrate the software
  • Departments to assist in moving the product into production
  • Work on leading edge wireless technologies/standards such as WLAN & BT/BLE
  • Quick learning Support the system test department on product qualification
  • Support compliance and regulatory testing Work with the mechanical, software, system test, and manufacturing and outstanding problem-solving capabilities
  • Previous BUCK DC-DC converter design experience is preferred
  • Create, modify and maintain the engineering design of assigned product systems and components
  • Make feasibility studies for new products or product changes as directed
  • Work with other departmental functions (service, production, tooling, marketing, dealers, ) in completion of assigned projects
  • Prepare and participate in product engineering presentations to vendors, customers and other departments
  • Be aware of trends and developments in product design from vendor contacts, workshops and meetings and industry contacts
  • Design ADAS Hardware including sensors, HMI, actuators and ECUs products
  • Determine hardware requirements, current and future, for ADAS technologies
  • Develop new ADAS designs and Hardware to meet or exceed future customer wants and needs, regulations and industry trends
  • Perform signal and power integrity simulation
  • Assist in developing EMC Test Plans
  • Assist in developing electrical test plans and perform electrical testing
  • Support documentation activity of components, PCB, and PCBA
  • Assume technical responsibility for the specification and design of key components of PowerVR advanced cores (integrated circuits)
  • Exposure to automotive standards for EV


Work Experience
  • Bachelor of Engineering  / Technology (Electronics)
  • 10+ years of experience in Hardware Design
  • HMI hardware design.
  • PCB design.
  • Automotive global standard knowledge.
  • Exposure to global EV automobile standards
