JobSummary: The Head of Biomedical Services will beresponsible for overseeing and managing the biomedical servicesacross the country. This role involves leading a team of biomedicalservice engineers ensuring the maintenance and optimal performanceof capital equipment and imaging devices such as XRay andUltrasound machines. The ideal candidate will have a strongbackground in biomedical engineering extensive experience inmanaging large teams and a proven track record of deliveringhighquality service in the healthcaresector.KeyResponsibilities:
  • Leadand manage the national biomedical services team providingdirection support and developmentopportunities.
  • Oversee the installationmaintenance and repair of biomedical equipment ensuring compliancewith industry standards andregulations.
  • Develop and implement strategicplans to enhance service delivery and customersatisfaction.
  • Ensure the optimal performanceand reliability of capital equipment and imaging devices includingXRay and Ultrasound machines.
  • Collaborate withother departments and stakeholders to address technical issues andimprove service efficiency.
  • Monitor andevaluate the performance of the biomedical services team providingfeedback and implementing improvements asneeded.
  • Manage the budget and resources for thebiomedical services department ensuring costeffectiveoperations.
  • Stay updated with the latestadvancements in biomedical engineering and medical devices andincorporate relevant innovations into the servicestrategy.
  • Establish and maintain strongrelationships with clients suppliers and regulatorybodies.
  • Ensure all service activities complywith health and safety regulations and qualitystandards.
  • Set up systems and processes fromthe ground up to enhance operational efficiency and servicedelivery.
  • Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts(AMCs) effectively to ensure high service quality and customersatisfaction.
QualificationsandExperience:
  • Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering or a relatedfield.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience inbiomedical services with a focus on managing teams at a nationallevel.
  • Extensive experience with capitalequipment and imaging devices including XRay CT Scan Ultrasoundmachines and Critical care products / ICU products like ventilatorsAnaesthesia work stations etc
  • Proven trackrecord of successfully leading and developing large teams ofbiomedical service engineers.
  • Strong technicalknowledge of biomedical equipment and their maintenancerequirements.
  • Excellent leadershipcommunication and organizationalskills.
  • Ability to develop and implementstrategic plans to improve service delivery and operationalefficiency.
  • Strong problemsolving skills andthe ability to work effectively underpressure.
  • Knowledge of industry standardsregulations and best practices in biomedical engineering andhealthcare services.
  • Experience in setting upsystems and processes from the groundup.
  • Experience in managing Annual MaintenanceContracts(AMCs).
