Site Engineer - Interior is responsible for overseeing the implementation of interior design and fit-out projects on-site, ensuring that the work is carried out according to design specifications, quality standards, and within the given time and budget constraints.

This role involves managing day-to-day site activities, supervising subcontractors, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring that all materials and finishes align with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Execution and Supervision:

    • Supervise and manage the execution of interior fit-out projects, including design, construction, and finishing work.
    • Ensure that the interior work is carried out in accordance with the approved design, drawings, and specifications.
    • Coordinate site activities, including the installation of partitions, flooring, ceilings, lighting, and other interior elements.
    • Oversee the installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), ensuring all items are placed as per the design plan.

  2. Quality Control and Standards:

    • Monitor and ensure that all interior works meet quality standards and specifications, maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
    • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project timelines, design drawings, and material specifications.
    • Implement corrective actions in case of any issues or deviations from the design or quality requirements.

  3. Subcontractor and Vendor Management:

    • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and vendors working on-site, ensuring their work aligns with project schedules and quality standards.
    • Review and approve work progress, time schedules, and quality of work for subcontractors.
    • Ensure materials are sourced, delivered, and stored on-site as per project requirements, avoiding delays.

  4. Site Safety and Compliance:

    • Ensure that safety protocols and procedures are adhered to on-site, including compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and take corrective actions to address any unsafe working conditions or practices.
    • Ensure the project site is organized and clean, maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

  5. Project Coordination and Communication:

    • Act as the main point of contact between the client, project manager, design team, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
    • Attend site meetings and report progress, challenges, and any changes to the project manager or client.
    • Manage the delivery and proper usage of materials, equipment, and tools, ensuring minimal wastage and efficient resource utilization.

  6. Progress Tracking and Reporting:

    • Track project timelines, milestones, and progress, ensuring the project stays on schedule.
    • Report on site activities, progress, delays, and any challenges faced, providing regular updates to the project manager and client.
    • Keep detailed records of all site activities, including daily logs, photographs, and any incidents that occur on-site.

  7. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

    • Address on-site issues or concerns related to the interior design or construction processes, offering timely solutions.
    • Work with design and technical teams to resolve any discrepancies between the design intent and actual site conditions.

  8. Client Interaction and Satisfaction:

    • Ensure that the client’s expectations and requirements are met, including timely delivery and adherence to the approved design.
    • Handle client site visits and feedback, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of [2-4] years of experience in interior fit-out, construction, or site management roles.

  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of interior design principles, construction processes, and materials.
    • Proficiency in interpreting architectural and interior design drawings and specifications.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and solve problems on-site.
    • Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
