Job Description

Your Challenge

Development of the concepts for the new polymeric materials for specific products in regards to the customer, M+H guidelines and product requirements  Development and release of Polymeric materials (creation of specifications, material selection, creation of quality specifications, material release documentation etc.) in the business unit AA and OE according to the customer specifications and the M+H standards  Support all relevant product development departments regarding the selection and specificationsof the polymeric materials required  Support quality, processing functions for selection and implementation  specifications/parameters Drive customer projects, development projects, cost down projects, localization projects etc. in the business unit AA and OE  Drive fundamental study projects of materials acc. to end objectives defined and agreed  Perform product failure mode analysis/ field failures/ quality issues by use of RCA and DoE tools along with advanced analytical test methods and provided detailed analysis report to customer with appropriate recommendations  Ensure compliance with the technical specifications required by the customers as well as the technical standards of the M+H Group  Perform benchmarking of polymeric materials and adapting the fit for use specifications for product applications.  Ensure the technical quality of the polymeric materials used in product until the start of the serial production  Research and develop procedures and methods for the testing of new polymeric materials andcomponents  Deal with polymeric material suppliers for new material development, technical specifications, testing/ test standards, processing, quality and failure related topics Testing- Polymeric Materials  Define and develop the relevant material testing equipment, tools, methods as well as standards  Plan, define and execute the testing activities for material validation, release and benchmarking  Prepare and maintain all the relevant documentation from the testing activities  Maintain relevant lab process and operation documents and contribute in enhancing/ improvingthem by CI, 5S, Automation, Digitalization activities Define new test standards/ validation of new test methods/ regular revalidation of existing test methods and maintain relevant documentation Work with external testing & analytical agencies to support the material testing & investigationfor projects whenever required Project Management Participate in the establishment of the project plan regarding all required engineering activities within a project  Ensure compliance with the project engineering budget, initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations Organizational  Prepare the presentations of different projects, material development and testing activities for internal as well as external purpose and provide technical expertise for the materials Maintain the relevant documentation within the area of responsibility Coordination and regular interaction with experts in CoC, Germany  Coordination with Engineering CFT, materials supplier, External Labs, Purchase department, Quality departments, Plants and commercial departments for material development testing andrelated topics  Maintain and continuously enhance the targeted material competencies and it’s documentation Conduct periodical training sessions for Engineering and Commercial functions for material development/ release topics  Train/Mentor junior colleagues for material development and release topics  Support purchase in development of new supplier/ evaluating existing suppliers for theirtechnical competency  Participate in external technical events/ conferences for enhancing technical knowledge/ buildindustry network

Your Profile

Qualification & Experience:

 BE/BTech/ME/MTech/MS in Rubber/ Polymer Technology/Material Science or relevant Engineering or Science stream from reputed University or Institute  6-8 years of relevant work experience (BE/BTech) 4-6 years of relevant work experience (ME/MTech/MS) Skills & Competencies: Sound knowledge in Polymeric Materials (Thermoplastics, Rubbers, Foams) and hands on testing and characterization  Experience in Automotive Filtration industry is added advantage Proficient use of IT-tools (MS Office) Fluency in technical English (written and spoken) (Inter-)Personal Skills Ability to work under pressure, riscillient to setbacks  Very good at multiple tasks management without losing focus  Good communication and presentation skills  Ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate  Customer oriented  Driving for result  Time Management  Innovative thinking
