As aData Engineer youll be:Developing end to endETL/ELT Pipeline working with Data Analysts of businessFunction.Designing developing andimplementing scalable automated processes for data extractionprocessing and analysis in a Data Mesharchitecture.Mentoring Fother JuniorEngineers in the TeamBe a goto expert fordata technologies and solutionsAbility toprovide on the ground troubleshooting and diagnosis to architectureand design challengesTroubleshooting andresolving technical issues as theyariseLooking for ways of improving both whatand how data pipelines are delivered by thedepartmentTranslating business requirementsinto technical requirements such as entities that need to bemodelled DBT models that need to be build timings tests andreportsOwning the delivery of data modelsand reports end to endPerform exploratorydata analysis in order to identify data quality issues early in theprocess and implement tests to ensure prevent them in thefutureWorking with Data Analysts to ensurethat all data feeds are optimised and available at the requiredtimes. This can include Change Capture Change Data Control andother delta loading approachesDiscoveringtransforming testing deploying and documenting datasourcesApplying help defining andchampioning data warehouse governance: data quality testing codingbest practises and peer reviewBuildingLooker Dashboard for use cases ifrequired
QUALIFICATIONSHaving5 years of extensive development experience using snowflake orsimilar data warehouse technologyHavingworking experience with dbt and other technologies of the moderndata stack such as Snowflake Apache Airflow Five Tran AWS gitLookerExperience in agile processes such asSCRUMExtensive experience in writingadvanced SQL statements and performance tuningthemExperience in Data Ingestion techniquesusing custom or SAAS tool likefivetranExperience in data modelling and canoptimise existing/new data modelsExperiencein data mining data warehouse solutions and ETL and using databasesin a business environment with largescale complexdatasets
