Job Summary

We are seeking a Refinery Field Machinist Technician tojoin the department. This department is responsible for providingthe required line maintenance of all refining and NGL rotatingequipment in terms of preventive maintenance troubleshooting andrepairs. Your primary role will be to diagnosis and repair of alltypes of rotating and mechanical equipment. Work performed willinclude equipment installation troubleshooting disassembly repairand reassembly testing and equipment modification.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify equipment faults and anomaliesthrough diagnostic tests measurements and analyses both onsite andpotentially by disassembling equipment in the field orworkshop.
  • Determine the scope of repairs andthe replacement parts needed.
  • Carry outmaintenance tasks on designated equipment which may involvedisassembly part replacement or machining as necessary.
  • Reassemble equipment and conduct operational tests toensure effective repair.
  • Perform alignment ofrotating equipment using methods such as rim and face reverse andlaser techniques.
  • Set up adjust and executeoverspeed trip tests for steam turbines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various types of valve actuatorsincluding hydraulic mechanical (electric) and pneumaticsystems.

Requirements:

  • This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
  • Bachelor degree inmechanical engineering from an accredited program (advanced degreepreferred).
  • 8 years of experience working withvarious equipment including gas reciprocating and centrifugalcompressors steam turbines vertical and horizontal pumps manual andmotoroperated valves.
  • Proficient understandingand compliance with various work permit requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of field mechanical operationprinciples.
  • Strong analytical andtroubleshooting capabilities in the realm of rotatingequipment.
  • Preferably experience as a teamleader in repair projects.
