**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Brief details about the Project**: Captive Power Plant operated by SOGEX in Oil & Gas Fields in Oman.

Power Plant in Oil & Gas fields wherein mainly 5 Nos Siemens SGT 300 Gas

Turbine, where the plant feeds power to Oil & Gas fields.

**Position**: Electrical Technician.

**Responsibility & Accountability**: Responsible to conduct general maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical or electronic equipment used in the commercial generation of electrical power. o General maintenance includes following the manufacturers guidelines on testing and maintaining equipment. o Periodic checks make sure the equipment is functioning properly and also to identify any issues that may cause premature failure. o Reading and understanding schematics, blueprints, manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, and diagrams are extremely important in diagnosing the root cause of the problem. o Repairing components that control machinery and automation equipment.

**Qualification** : Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.

**Experience**: 5 Years in Power Plants or Electricity Sector.

**Knowledge**: Should have very good knowledge of Gas Turbine based Power Plant maintenance, experience on Siemens Gas Turbine, HT/LT Switchgears, outdoor switchyard of 132 KV, brushless excitation system, isolation/de-isolation, permit to work system, ESR, CEP License, and safety system.

**PACKAGE & EMPLOYMENT TERMS**

**Contract Duration**: Two Years / Extendable.

**Probation Period**: 3 months from the date of appointment.

**Work System**: 12 hours per day in remote areas/oil & gas fields, consists of 10 actual working hours, plus 2 hours rest break, and in addition a day off per week at the worksite, where any additional hour will be counted as overtime.

**Duty Cycle**: 6 months on duty & 1 month off duty.

**Vacation**: 30 days paid leave upon completion of every 6 months of continuous services.

**Accommodation**: Furnished accommodation will be provided by the company at the workplace with a bachelor/single bed in a shared room with another co-worker.

**Food**: 3 meals per day will be provided by the company at the workplace in remote areas/oil & gas fields.

**Transportation**: Provided by the company at the workplace in remote areas/oil & gas fields.

**Medical Care**: Provided by the company in the Sultanate of Oman throughout the employment duration.

**Employment Visa**: Provided by the company after completing all recruitment procedures, including required interviews, medical test and attestation of required documents.

**Employment Benefits**: Shall be in accordance with the Omani Labur Law.
