Objective Of This RoleObjective Of This Role Background about IT EOC:
G+D’s IT Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) is the global delivery and support operations center for G+D groups’ global locations and subsidiaries. EOC manages the IT Infrastructure (Server /Datacenter, collaboration and Messaging, Network LAN/ WAN / Wi-Fi and Firewall security) and Enterprise IT Applications (predominantly SAP portfolio) along with Mobile Applications Platforms as well. The center is also accountable for delivering high value and high visibility IT projects & programs across various IT domains. As IT Specialist - Linux , you have to provide high-level technical expertise in the area of Linux Systems administration and troubleshooting. This individual would be responsible for implementing & enabling IT strategies defined by senior management in order to achieve the organizational objectives. Further, this individual would be responsible to ensure that the established processes to meet the regulatory and G&D corporate security requirements are respected and optimized, in a fast paced and critical environment. You need to develop the strategy and ensure the operation, integration into the infrastructure services and interact with the business to ensure a maximum of usability. Tasks & Responsibilities: Mandatory:

Incident & Problem resolution: Resolve Linux issues reported by monitoring and users, 2nd and 3rd level. Support other admins during incident resolution. Major Upgrades: Upgrade unsupported OS versions to supported ones (CentOS & Alma Linux to RHEL migrations, major release changes). Monitoring optimization: Resolve recurring Linux events in monitoring Standardization: Reconfigure already running Linux servers so that they configured according to current standards. Maintain and work with RedHat Satellite for repositories Includes opening of necessary changes and alignment with server owners Inventory cleanup: Continuous cleanup of technical inventories vCenter and NetBox Development: Create new and maintain Ansible playbooks Create and maintain Icinga2 (Monitoring Tool) check scripts for configuration validation

Nice to Have:

Rework Server Hardening guidelines, create Ansible playbooks to implement them Review current Linux standards, compare with other units’ standards, and best practices

Support role in design and architecture of a new container solution Education & Trainings + Certifications:

University Degree and Certifications in the technology related field. RedHat Certified Engineer or RedHat Certified System Administrator (Preferred)

ITIL Certification Technical know-how: Should have technical knowledge on following:

RedHat Enterprise Linux 7.x,8.x,9.x RedHat Satellite Ansible, RedHat Automation Platform Git Basic knowledge of typical Infrastructure components like Palo Alto firewalls, FortiGate VPNs, NetApp Storage, Servers and storage Jenkins, OpenShift, Containers (Desirable)
