The Wealth Investment Solutions (WIS) team within Goldman Sachs Asset Management manages over $339bn in assets across a variety of mandates including 81,000+ customized portfolios, 44 exchange traded funds and mutual funds, and two exchange funds. The team is the largest separate account manager in the world and is an industry leader in delivering bespoke investment solutions tailored towards individual client objectives including direct indexing, tax-managed, factor-based and values-aligned portfolios to high net worth, institutional, and retail clients.
The Quantitative Equity Solutions (QES) team within WIS is a fast growing group which oversees over $180bn across over 40,000 customized equity portfolios, 5 solutions-based mutual funds, 13 exchange traded funds, and two exchange funds. As a focal point for one of the division’s key priority initiatives, the team operates in an entrepreneurial environment but with the resources and backing of a large organization. Our team is focused on designing cutting-edge investment strategies and creating disruptive digital tools capable of transforming the asset management industry. We create and leverage highly scalable portfolio management systems to implement equity-based strategies that seek to provide customized solutions tailored to each client’s investment objectives. Current investment solutions include direct indexing strategies, income-based offerings, factor-based investing, and values-aligned portfolios - with more strategies under development.
Our team of client portfolio managers works closely with teams across the division including portfolios managers, salespeople, financial advisors, clients, and other stakeholders. We drive the commercial success of our business by positioning our strategies, understanding client needs, designing and presenting investment solutions, creating marketing materials and campaigns, and addressing client questions and requests. Team members serve as subject matter experts for advisor and client communication and offer advice and education. Our team is energized by leveraging technology to create scale and customization across our entire business and facilitating a collaborative environment to deliver an excellent client experience with industry-leading investment solutions and performance. Job Responsibilities
Learn about and understand QES investment strategies and portfolio management approach Help update marketing materials on a quarterly basis Manage due diligence questionnaires and Request for Proposals/Information on QES investment strategies Prepare client reports by sourcing information from various applications to distribute accurate reports within prescribed deadlines Serve as a product expert on QES investment strategies to both internal and external clients of the Division and the Firm and provide support to senior team members Support advisors, salespeople, and clients to understand account lifecycle events and prepare account performance commentary Create client-specific proposals and analysis tailored to address the unique needs of individual investors Develop strong working relationships across our business, working closely with portfolio managers, strategists and engineers to gain insight into our investment process Navigate and build relationships across the division to drive improvements to our clients’ investment experience by working with compliance, legal, controllers, operations, and more Collaborate with our investment team, sales and marketing to create marketing collateral and determine best vehicle for delivery (webinar, blog posts, white paper, Take the initiative to develop solutions, materials, research, and projects independently for both internal and external clients Thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects in parallel while delivering high quality worK Educate internal and external groups on focused productsBasic Qualification
