Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Gurugram/Jaipur, India
Relevant Experience Required: 5 + yrs
About the Role:
Ensures a high degree of functional test coverage akin to the day in the life of a business user by designing and conducting a variety of functional, performance, and E2E tests. Play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by providing expertise, assisting the team with strategic inputs, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle. processes creates and executes test scripts, assists in the preparation of test strategies, sets up and maintains test data & environments as well as logs results. Functions as a platform SME who drives quality on critical product features, Executes against the testing strategy defined at the platform level.
What You'll Do Works with engineers, team members to identify areas and methods to help improve testing efficiency, expand coverage and increase product reliability.Creating Test Plans, define test approach and methodologies (covering functional, performance and usability aspects).Plan/conduct functional, End to End testing across platformMaintain test repository on Jira /Zephyr Scale providing complete test coverage across applicable testing types-functional and non-functional, E2E etc.Assist to investigate production issues.Analyse and optimize application performance and security measures.Constantly seek opportunities to improve our quality and testing approach.Coordinate effectively with development and testing teams in both onshore and offshore locations via daily scrum meetings etc.Plans and defines testing approach, providing advice on prioritization of testing activity in support of identified risks in project schedules or test scenarios.Generates test data to support the requirements and test case for various test phasesProvides timely inputs and adheres to processes defined to monitor quality assurance metrics such as defect removal efficiency , defect counts, test results, and test statusIdentifies opportunities to adopt innovative testing technologies and techniquesWell versed in writing concise, high-quality technical documentation and post on Confluence.Collaborate with Developers, DBA, Product, CS and Devops ensuring the highest product quality standards What You'll Need Solid understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes and documentation.Strong knowledge in API , related testing tools (Postman)Strong understanding of backend architectures, databases and APIsExperience in Performance/stress/load testing tools such as JmeterHands-on experience with test planning, test designing and create, execution quality test automation scripts.Experience with Agile, other rapid application development methodsExperience in working with Test management tool JIRA Scale and test optimisation/coverage techniques.Should be a self-starter with high initiative, team player, and enthusiastic to learn and deliver on latest tools and technologies.Strong and fluent communication skills.BE/B.Tech/ME/M. Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems (or equivalent)  Good to have: Any of the following test certifications - QAI, ASQ, IIST, ISEB, ISTQB - are a plusExperience on test automation scripts with tools like Selenium Webdriver, Appium, TestNg, REST-AssuredExperience in E2E & Integration tests of complex systems.Proficiency in handling complex DB queries.Excellent skills in Performance TestingExperience of Cloud Platforms AWS/Azure
