Job Purpose :

 This position is responsible for Delivery of Technical literature namely Owners manual and Service manual  

  • To Deliver Service documents – Owner’s Manual for global markets
  • To Deliver Service documents – Service Manual for global market 
  • To deliver the Diagnostic content for mobile APP consumption 
  • To deliver the exploded vies and schematic wiring diagrams 
  • Supporting Enhancement of Customer satisfaction 

 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan, write,and deliver various types of customer and technician assistance documentation including Owner’s Manual, Service manual and Technical in a grammatically accurate and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, Product development team and Homologation team to gather information on company products through researching available technical information (production drawings, aggregate specifications etc.) TDL. DRS and write or update product documentation as needed.
  • Responsible for Coordinating for Wrapper covers for Owner’s Manual for new product from branding 
  • Responsible for updating/amending field feedback into Owner’s Manual / Service Manual as and when required and scheduled frequencies 
  • Working hands-on on the products being supported and doing the research required to truly understand the domain, technology, and features being documented.
  • The documentation should meet the applicable objectives and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Working on one or more products with product teams in various locations across the globe.
  • Planning works independently in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and maintain the Published documents architecture 
  • Coordinate with External content development and printing vendor for various needs 
  • Coordinate with external translation vendors for content translation and timely deliver
  • Exposure on digital platforms and latest softwares to manage the literature part.
  • Exposure on Wiring diagrams , line arts , exploded view preparation with clear communication
  • Owners manual creation in digitized platforms


Work Experience

Education

  •   Candidates with B.E in Automobile/ Mechanical Background

 

Experience

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in Technical literature experience to Automobile Industry (Preferably Motorcycle Industry)
  • Technical abilities in the past in similar profile/field
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skill with good interpersonal skills and collaborative work style.
  • Technical aptitude and interest in technical wiring related to complex technical information
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures translating it for colleagues and consumers who have non-technical backgrounds.
  • Good knowledge on softwares Adobe Frame Maker, Page Maker, Photoshop, Arbortext, PTC Wind chill, Creo, Adobe Illustrator  
  • Good Communication in English
  • Ability to make decisions quickly, flexibility to reprioritize on short notice, and ability to foster teamwork. 
  • Basic Knowledge in SAP
