We are looking for extraordinary Software Engineers to develop and productize NVIDIA's DRIVE OS software. As a member of NVIDIA's Solution Engineering team, you will adapt DRIVE OS solutions to various car platforms equipped with different sensors. This includes but is not limited to architecting, developing and adapting different system components like bootloaders, OS device drivers and frameworks for virtualized environments guided by functional safety architecture ( ISO26262 standard ) to meet different OEM requirements. This role also involves building close technical relationships with our partners during product development and coordinate with the architecture and software teams to develop the best solutions for partners working on our platform. NVIDIA’s deep learning platform has already made a major impact to the field and is broadly used across leading academic institutions, start-ups, and industry, including the world’s largest Internet companies. We need passionate, hard-working and creative people to help us take on more of these challenging opportunities in Autonomous Driving.  We are looking for a Senior System Software Engineer with strong experience in bootloaders, virtualization and ARM architecture. 

  

What you will be doing: 

  • Architecture and development of Bootloaders and device driver development for virtualized environment 

  • Architecture and enhancement of Hypervisor features 

  • Hardware configuration and performance tuning 

  • Chip and Board bringup 

  • Lead the architecture discussions and directly interface with customers to support DRIVE software solutions 

  • Actively coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to meet customer's requirements and to drive complex issues to closure 

  • Participate in architectural explorations which include feasibility studies, safety evaluations and data analysis 

What we need to see: 

  • BS/MS EE/CS or equivalent experience 

  • 5+ years of experience on embedded systems, with focus on Bootloaders/Operating Systems and drivers 

  • Strong C programming skills 

  • Solid understanding of ARM processor architecture fundamentals 

  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills 

Ways to stand out from the crowd: 

  • Prior experience in board bringup and in Post-Silicon bringup 

  • Worked on customer programs with real products in the market
