The position is with Siemens Limited India and theincumbent will be responsible for providing high quality and responsive legalsupport and guidance to the Digital Industries business.

In your primary role, you will beresponsible for the following :

The position requires a high level of businessorientation with focus on problem solving and supporting major projects, whileupholding strong ethics and integrity across the organization. The incumbentwill need to learn the Digital Industries business and the Siemens processesvery quickly and should be able to work with minimal managerial intervention. Your primary role would be risk analysis,drafting & negotiating contracts and handling dispute resolution andtherefore you should have an excellent knowledge of Contract laws andArbitration laws. You should have a good understanding of contracts and shouldbe able to analyze them and provide legal risk evaluation during the bid-stageof a project. You would be required to develop a completeunderstanding of the project in hand and propose mitigation strategies from abusiness or legal perspective. Bring in strategic thinking with a problem-solvingattitude. You are required to draft and negotiatecustomer contracts, vendor/ supplier contracts and from time-to-time and ensurestrict observance of contractual requirements, rights and obligations towardscustomers, suppliers and other parties involved (e.g., interpretation ofsections, change orders, claim management, correspondences, etc.). Ability to manage numerous matterssimultaneously and competing priorities and to work within a matrix set up. Litigation management and support on all legalproceedings like mediation, conciliation, arbitration, or court proceedingsindependently and / or along with the assigned external counsels. Manage expectations of multiple businessstakeholders within the organization.

Desired Qualifications & Traits

A Law degree from a reputed law college inIndia or from a reputed international college with at least 4 -5 years of PQE. Worked with a law firm or multinationalcompany, with internationally staffed teams and international contractualpartners. Experience and understanding on Contract Lawsand Arbitration laws, ESG regulations and other emerging laws like Competition,Data Protection, Cybersecurity, etc. Experience in litigation and drafting,negotiation and execution of contracts and dispute resolution. Communication and legal writing skills(English), a problem-solving and solution-oriented approach and a dedicatedattitude.

The position will report to the LeadLawyer Digital Industries, India and would be based out of our Siemens’ Airolioffice in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. You may also need to visit other locationsin India and beyond, so you’ll need to go where this journey takes you.
