As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

• Develop automation tools / code scripts to stand-up and monitor infrastructure components and security configurations
• Implement CI and CD pipelines, thereby automating & improving stability of the release process.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and configuration issues across all environments.
• Provide technical support during software development. Assist development team in debugging environment specific issues
• Maintain & monitor asset inventory across all environments.
• Ensure all-time “ON” state of production, CERT and testing environments
• Assist in cost rationalization exercises
• Liaise with architects to gather and understand technical requirements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
• Expertise in Linux based infrastructure and their administration.
• Proficient in Terraform for service provisioning; Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for scaling.
• Significant exposure to PostGreSQL / MongoDB, SQL and Python scripting.
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets such as PyCharm, Git / BitBucket, Jira, ServiceNo.
• Professional exposure of having configured & implemented AWS RDS & Aurora services using Terraform.
• Exposure to tech frameworks such as Kafka, RabbitMQ and Redis will be advantageous.
• Clear understanding of Agile-Scrum software development lifecycle.
• Strong communication (written and oral) and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong sense of attention to detail, accountability, pride in delivering high quality work and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Understanding of financial capital markets, and financial instruments (such as stocks, ETFs, Mutual Funds) is nice to have.
• BE/BSc degree or equivalent experience.
