What You'll Do Be the voice of the customer. Listen to the market (internal and external users) and clearly define the market problem. Use market information to drive short and long term product roadmap priorities.Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate business requirements, breaking them down into epics, themes, and features and creating actionable user stories with acceptance criteria for the design team to conceptualize and the development team to implement.Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally, and as the primary contact and subject matter expert for the product.Manage and own end-to-end product lifecycle for your product including prioritization of bugs/enhancements along with building and launching new offerings.Track product performance metrics to ensure we are meeting or exceeding targets, pivot product roadmap direction as necessary.Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product roadmap is aligned with stakeholder needs.
What You May Need to be Successful:
Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technology field, advanced business degree (MBA preferred). Minimum 2+ years in a senior product role for a product that handles over $50M in revenue at an org over $1B in revenue Practical Agile experience - not certifications but actual experience inside an organization in transition for at least 5 years Strong Technical skills - can speak with and motivate the development team with ideas and thoughts Must be proficient in PPT and FADV road mapping tools - JIRA, Trello and others Ideally should have been in a BA role for 5+ years before moving into product owner. Product Owner Certification (CSPO or Pragmatic Marketing) a plus Customer focused and have a passion for user experience and working with people.
