Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector. Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify areas for growth and expansion.
  2. Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, research organizations, healthcare providers, and regulatory authorities. Collaborate with partners to identify areas of mutual interest, negotiate partnerships, and develop strategic alliances to enhance the company's portfolio and market presence.
  3. New Product Development: Work closely with research and development teams to assess the market potential of new drug candidates and therapies. Provide insights on market needs, competitive landscape, and pricing strategies to facilitate informed decision-making in the product development process.
  4. Market Entry Strategies: Develop and execute market entry strategies for new products, including pricing, distribution, and promotional plans. Identify target markets, analyze competitive dynamics, and create compelling value propositions to drive successful market penetration.
  5. Contract Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations with potential partners, including licensing agreements, distribution agreements, and collaborative research agreements. Ensure favorable terms and conditions that align with the company's business objectives while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
  6. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and feasibility studies for potential business opportunities. Evaluate investment options, perform cost-benefit analysis, and assess risk factors to determine the viability and profitability of new initiatives.
  7. Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing partners and key accounts to maximize business opportunities. Act as the primary point of contact for partners, address their needs, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, regulatory affairs, legal, and finance to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives. Provide strategic guidance and support to teams involved in product launch, marketing campaigns, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A scientific background in pharmacy or life sciences is a plus.
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical business development or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to assess market trends and financial data.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and develop innovative business strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks governing the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency in using software and tools for market research, financial analysis, and project management.
