Description

Quality Assurance (QA) is responsible for ensuring testing strategies, plans and deliverables are executed for all applications and programmes of work within their domain. Work includes:

Designing and conducting testing procedures and frameworks to verify software and other technical products to ensure expected functional performance Investigating instances where software and technical products do not perform as expected Designing and conducting quality assurance practises to support business development activities Driving the adoption of recognised best practice and policy and contributes to the ongoing improvement of methodologies and assets for the business Working with their counterparts across the business to raise the standard of QA across the bank Recording of defects and the collation of metrics and KPI information for reporting purposes Testing disciplines include: Performance Testing, Test Automation, Test Processes, Testing Products

Your key responsibilities

Create test documents like Test Plan, Test Risk Assessments and Test Results and make sure that they are reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders. Coordinate the preparation of test environments. Define and create all test data needed for the tests as per the business requirements. Raise defects in JIRA, monitor, retest and support until closure. Maintain regression test pack and ensure the pack is constantly updated in line with the key platform and architectural changes. Collaborates with product line stakeholders to understand and develop strategies, frameworks relating to the emerging demands. Develop or support test automation strategy for large complex projects in Agile methodology. Actively participate and contribute into the sprint activities and ceremonies e.g., daily stand-up, Sprint planning, retrospectives, refinements etc. Driving innovation and adoption of Industry practices through institutionalization of new tools/methods/standards. Experience in the areas of testing with specialization in Automation testing Hands on experience in Web Applications Automation Testing. Hands on experience in middleware/backend service-based application Testing. Experience in BDD automation framework and its maintenance. Experience in Non-Functional testing would be a plus.

Your skills and experience

6+ years in the industry with exposure to working in large programmes. Hands on experience in Unix, SQL, sound knowledge on Hadoop technologies. Selenium with Python is must to have. Good knowledge of using JIRA, Bitbucket, Git, IntelliJ(IDE), Good experience in Test and process automation. Knowledge on Google Cloud Platform is preferable. Knowledge in CI/CD tools would be an added advantage. Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues. Ability to visualise things end to end and understand from both tech and business point of view. Bachelor’s / Master’s university degree.
