About the Role This role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day technical issues in application environments and infrastructure using AWS cloud technologies. This position requires a strong understanding of Linux operating systems and middleware technologies such as Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, Java Web Applications, JBoss Fuse, Jira etc. The candidate should also have knowledge on application servers like Apache Tomcat and IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS). Provides a basic level of technical and subject matter expertise in one or more technologies. Assists in the delivery of appropriate documentation such as support procedures for 2nd level operations May be asked to assist with production of technical documentation for assigned tasks and projects. Provides input to the upkeep of system information Provides assistance for the reduction in volume and mean time to recover incidents in assigned business unit by providing high-level trouble shooting on technical issues. Provides assistance in proactive problem management in order to deliver high service levels. Assists with identifying risks & issues following appropriate escalation procedures. Assists with upgrades of production systems Assists with the production of implementation/project plans according to agreed standards and ensures project processes and timelines are understood and followed. Adheres to change management procedures Adheres to operations procedures, standards, and technical policies. Collaborates with business, third party vendors, developers, application support and technical operations groups to determine appropriate hardware/software needed and to resolve any issues impacting the application processes. Stays abreast of recent developments in related technical community, including new technology and business news that may impact vendors’ ability to provide service. Responsible to seek out all information and to fully understand all aspects of each device’s technology configuration and uses all approved engineering tools available to implement conforming change. Assists in the analysis and design of complex solutions and requirements definition, including translating technical and business requirements into physical installations. Reviews and coordinates the implementation of proposed modifications, and changes to the production environment.

About You

MCA / BE / BTech / ME / MTech
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with enterprise applications on Linux platform (Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL);
• Proficiency in scripting languages like bash shell scripts, Perl scripting language etc.;
• Experience with middleware technologies like Apache Tomcat, IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Oracle WebLogic Server (OWS), JBoss Fuse, Jira etc.;
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP networking, DNS resolution etc.;
• Familiarity with database technologies like MySQL or PostgreSQL;
• Strong problem solving abilities coupled with excellent communication skills;
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team;
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency levels.
