Databricks is looking for an experienced Manager, Credit & Collections who has passion for process improvement and operational excellence. We are in search of a skilled individual who not only possesses a keen eye for assessing and managing customer creditworthiness, but also thrives on driving continuous improvement initiatives within our environment. In addition, you'll help design and implement efficient, scalable customer payment collection procedures to minimize bad debt and mitigate risks. You'll work closely with global functional partners and will be instrumental in the continuous improvement in our collections strategy, contributing to our overall financial health and stability. This role will report to the Sr Manager, Billing, Credit & Collections. 

The impact you will have:

Establish, lead development, and enforce corporate credit & collections policies/procedures to mitigate risk and ensure timely payment from customersCollaborate cross-functionally to design and implement new processes and automation to support the credit & collections functionsAssess credit risk for new and existing customers, including reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and payment historiesMonitor customer accounts receivable balances and proactively connect with customers to resolve payment issues and disputesCollaborate with Sales/Deal Desk/Customer Success to evaluate creditworthiness of potential customers and establish appropriate credit limitsEnsure appropriate credit & collections management internal controls are in place and operating effectively to ensure SOX complianceGenerate and maintain detailed documentation of policies and processes and assist with process improvement, automation initiatives, training as they ariseDesign, implement, and manage efficient, scalable customer payment collection procedures to minimize bad debt and mitigate risksManage collections escalations from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner while upholding and maintaining the interests of the company.Review delinquent accounts regularly with team members and prepare monthly reports on high-risk accounts for management teamParticipate in the month-end close process, including AR write-off analysis and account reconciliations

What we look for:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting 8+ years of experience in Credit & Collections Management or Finance Operations5+ years of experience acting as a manager to team members, nurturing their professional development and a high-performing team environmentExperience with credit management tools such as Dun & Bradstreet or Moody’sWorking knowledge of best practices internal controlsAbility to work with global teams and manage cross-functional relationshipsExperience managing high volume of transactions Proficiency with Excel is required (pivot tables, Vlookups)Experience in subscription, consumption and professional services billingsExperience with NetSuite or any major ERP and Salesforce
