OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As a Program V&V Lead, you will lead, own and test software modules by ensuring detailed test description creation and test execution of those modules.

You will interface with Software Architect, Software designers and V&V designers and support program towards QCD commitments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Program V&V Lead, he/she needs to perform the following:

Test and prove the SW modules as per their SIL levels

Applies SW processes & standards required for SW testing – Modal, CMMI Contribute to the elaboration of SW specification & architecture, in collaboration with the SW architect Realizes testing of SW modules : Resolve testing issues Prepares test cases and performs SW V&V deliverables depending on Safety Integrity Level and associated Product development organization. Puts the files under configuration management Keeps a strong link with the SW architect, SW designer through the whole SW design cycle Highlight design issues and propose / discuss with the lead engineer to identify and implement the definitive solution. SW module Integration and functional testing Guide the newcomers during development to achieve the QCD Support Lead Engineer to perform peer reviews

Qualifications & Skills:

  EDUCATION

Bachelor/Post-Graduate in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE & EEE or Equivalent

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

Demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization. Be Innovative and demonstrate to peers and implement in creation of Reference Libraries, reusable codes, and model-based developments Demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization. Team Player with prior experience in working with European customer is not mandatory but preferable.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

9+ years of experience in Software Product Functional Testing Very good understanding of the complete V&V process Good understanding of different software methodologies like waterfall, Agile etc. Experience in Requirement Based Testing Experience in Scripting language like python Understand the Requirement Specification and design Test Cases, Test execution and Test Report Experience with Configuration Management and Change Request tools like DOORs, Clear Case, Clear Quest, GITLAB and RTC String written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Experience in understanding Functional Requirements and generation of Traceability Matrix Experience in performing Impact Analysis and Regression Testing Good experience in test tool usage, Test environment setup and defect management Experience in structural coverage analysis, failure analysis and debugging Wide exposure to issue resolution and troubleshooting Experience in Automation tools like Selenium and Squish Experience in working with XML and XSD Experience is Railway Signaling is an added advantage
