Senior Engineer-AE (Motor Controller)

YOUR TASKS

Develop and Validate Control Algorithms for Traction Motors

Understanding of principles of working of traction motors – BLDC, PMSM, Induction Motor, SRM etc Design and Development of control algorithms like Field Oriented Control (FOC) etc Validate control algorithms in simulation, HIL, dyno & vehicle level Understanding & Operation of eddy current and regeneration dyno setups Shall have experience in working at 48V, 72V, 96V & 330 V systems Shall have experience in debugging Hardware to identify root cause of failure Shall have experience in code generation and deploying on microcontrollers

Modelling and Simulation for EVs, Power Electronics and Thermal Effects

Modelling of EV components and sizing of motor, battery, and charger Modelling of inverter, battery charger and power electronic components and estimate losses Design and suggest component specifications and topologies to reduce losses Develop control algorithms and demonstrate loss reduction Simulate thermal losses in semiconductors and assist in mechanical packaging Shall have experience in motor drives, power electronics and control systems Shall have experience in using relevant MATLAB and 3D tools for simulations Shall have experience in code generation and deploying on microcontrollers

Embedded SW Architecture Design and Implementation

Design and develop software for embedded devices as per system requirements Review code, test and debug software Integrate and validate new product designs Interface with hardware design and development Evaluate third party and open source software

Advanced engineering – Project Planning

Clarifying and defining the requirements within the context of new electrical engineering and electromechanical functional systems and devices. Agreement of targets in terms of quality, costs, and timing with the project sponsor, using existing processes and methods in agreement with those responsible or superiors Defining, planning, coordinating and monitoring development tasks within a project team; involvement of internal and external service providers if necessary, taking economic, qualitative and scheduling points of view into account Mapping project status taking continual processing and interpretation of internal and external information into account; monitoring of the project progress and making decisions about appropriate measures, with the superior if necessary, if there are any deviations from or changes to the targets set Carrying out project controlling in the form of reviews (concluding and interim reports) with project sponsors based on agreed quality, cost, and timing targets Involvement in and/or implementation of defined escalation scenarios whenever deviations from targets occur; showing existing alternative solutions

Advanced engineering – Idea to Prototype

Planning, carrying out and analyzing specific market observations to identify and evaluate new technologies Preparing, evaluating, and agreeing technological solution alternatives; checking technical commercial feasibility Carrying out or arranging the development of the necessary hardware and software
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Expert in control systems, power electronics or drives and machines preferred. MTech. in Power electronics, control systems, drives and machines Experience: 2 to 4 years in modeling, simulation, embedded software development in automotive industry Tool hands-on : MATLAB Simulink, Embedded Coder, C-compilers, Mathcad Simulation tools: Thermal and Power electronics simulation tool hands-on preferred Contact - nilesh.raut@external.forvia.com.
