Business Development Executive

A business development executive is asignificant member of a company's growth strategy– responsible for identifying and generating new businessopportunities building relationships with potential clients anddriving revenue growth.
It is a senior roleusually progressing from a business developer businessrepresentative and business officer. They are also called'sales executives'.
Abusiness development executive (BDE) is distinct from an accountsexecutive as the former focuses on acquiring new clients ratherthan managing existing ones.
The roles andresponsibilities of business development executives involveanalysing market trends to create strategies identifying new salesleads and working towards expanding the organisation'scustomer base.
- Respond promptly to any issues that directlyaffect sales.
- Hire onboard and train new teammembers in the sales team.
- Directly overseethe growth of assigned markets and clients.
- Represent the company at industry events meetings andconferences.
- Track and analyse sales data toidentify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Achieve monthly sales targets with demonstrable keyperformance indicators (KPIs).
- Present monthlyand quarterly sales reports to senior board members andinvestors.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administrationmarketing sales or a related field.
- 2 years ofexperience in sales or business development roles.
- Effective communication interpersonal and negotiatingskills.
- Ability to build and maintainrelationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Adept in networking project management andproblemsolving.
- Possess strong creative andstrategic thinking skills to develop effective sales strategiesthrough delegation prioritisation and execution for businessgrowth.
- Ability to adapt to thecompany’s culture effectively and lead other teams.
