JobSummary:

Citykart Pvt Ltdis looking for a passionate and skilled Womens Ethnic FashionDesigner to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have astrong background in designing ethnic wear including sarees salwarkameez lehengas and kurtis tailored for the Indian market. Thisrole demands a deep understanding of traditional styles combinedwith contemporary trends along with the ability to deliverhighquality designs that resonate with diverse customerpreferences.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Design& Development: Conceptualize and createcollections of womens ethnic wear that reflect both traditional andmodern styles.
  • TrendAnalysis: Research current and upcoming trends in ethnicfashion to ensure collections are relevant andappealing.
  • Fabric &Material Selection: Choose fabrics patterns colors andembellishments that enhance each design and meet Citykarts qualitystandards.
  • Sketching& Prototyping: Develop design sketchescollaborate with patternmakers and oversee the creation ofprototypes andsamples.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with merchandising sourcing and production teams toalign designs with brand objectives and customerdemands.
  • Quality &Cost Control: Ensure designs are costeffective withoutcompromising quality; oversee sample fittings and make adjustmentsto perfect the finalproduct.
  • MarketAdaptation: Create regionally adapted designs combiningclassic Indian aesthetics with modern sensibilities to appeal to awideaudience.
Qualifications:
  • EducationalBackground: Bachelor s degree in Fashion Design ApparelDesign Textile Design or a relatedfield.
  • Experience:36 years of experience in women s ethnic weardesign.
  • TechnicalSkills: Proficiency in design software (e.g. AdobeIllustrator Photoshop) and knowledge of garment constructiontechniques.
  • CulturalInsight: Strong understanding of the ethnic wear marketin India including seasonal regional and culturalpreferences.
  • Portfolio:A strong portfolio showcasing previous work in ethnic wear designisessential.
KeyCompetencies:
  • Creativeflair with an eye for color texture anddetail.
  • Strong organizational skillswith the ability to manage multiple projectssimultaneously.

Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor s degree in HumanResources, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA orrelevant certification is preferred.
