### JobDescription:

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fire and Safety Officerto join our team at the Bhilai Steel Plant. The successfulcandidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards offire safety and prevention as well as maintaining compliance withall relevant safety regulations. This role involves overseeing firesafety protocols conducting safety drills and educating employeeson fire safety measures.

**KeyResponsibilities:**
Develop and implement fire safetyplans policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirementsand best practices.
Conduct regular fire riskassessments and audits across the plant to identify potentialhazards.
Ensure all fire safety equipment such as fireextinguishers alarms and sprinkler systems are regularly inspectedand maintained.
Organize and conduct fire safetytraining sessions and emergency drills for allemployees.
Investigate fire incidents and accidentsprepare detailed reports and recommend correctiveactions.
Ensure compliance with all local state andnational fire safety regulations.
Collaborate with theplant management team to integrate fire safety measures intooverall safety protocols.
Maintain accurate records offire safety inspections drills and incidents.
Assist inthe development of emergency response plans and coordinate withlocal fire departments and emergency services.
Provideguidance and support to employees on fire safety practices andprocedures.

**Qualifications:**
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Fire Safety IndustrialSafety or a related field.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years ofexperience in a fire safety role preferably in an industrialsetting.
Indepth knowledge of fire safety regulationsand best practices.
Proven experience in conducting firesafety audits and risk assessments.
Strongorganizational and communication skills.
Ability to leadtraining sessions and emergency drills effectively.
Proficiency in using fire safety equipment and systems.
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
Certification infire safety or related courses.
Experience in the steelor heavy industry sector.

**WorkEnvironment:**
The role requires frequent visits tovarious parts of the steel plant including potentially hazardousareas.
Must be willing to work in shifts and beavailable for emergency situations as needed.
