Statement ofWork:

Business Master FileModernization (BMF Mod) is one of multiple programs created tomodernize the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) the legacy Taxprocessing systems and is critical to the IRS IT ApplicationDevelopment (AD) and IRS IT Enterprise Service (ES) organizationsgoal to support the objectives of the IRS IT Modernization BusinessPlan. BMF Mods initiative will modernize IRS systems and processesimprove taxpayer experience increase voluntary compliance andreduce the Services reliance on costly and unsustainable legacytechnology.

TaskDescription:

Provide support andassistance to design development integrate test and deploy amodernized BMF platform and also support daytoday Operations &Maintenance (O&M) work based on IRS priorities. Provide forproject management O&M development modernization enhancementssoftware development legislative changes and developmental O&Mupgrades.

Required skills/Level ofExperience:

  • Minimum of 10years of experience with Architectural frameworks and how to designapplications
  • Experience developing physicaland logical architectures leveraging clienttemplates/process
  • Experience with both Javaapplication programming and migration
  • Validateoverall solution with client and project team
  • Modernization approaches: Familiarity with variousmodernization strategies like refactoring containerization cloudintegration and API enablement.

Nice to have skills:

  • Familiarity with mainframe data structures andformats preferred
  • Understanding of IBM Zsystems: Minimum of 15 years of work experience with a demonstratedknowledge of z/OS Assembly Language DB2 QSAM IMS CA Endevor BMCControlM JCL and other core IBM mainframe technologies.
  • Experience with Java Message Service Core Java SpringCore Spring MVC Spring Batch Java Microservices Spring Boot AWSservices
  • Active IRS MBI Clearance HighlyDesirable

Education
