As the CAS business supports international customers, it is involved in the many aspects of import, export and global trade requirements under the governance of Raytheon Technologies, Collins Aerospace and country specific international trade regulations. The role of the Global Trade Specialist is critical to the business, ensuring that both regulatory compliance and company policies are being adhered to.

Summary of Role:

The Global Trade Specialist is responsible for global trade compliance and customs compliance for the CAS business in the Asia-Pacific region. The role involves the day-to-day management of import and export transactions and the coordination of global trade policies, procedures and global trade initiatives for the business. The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Import Management: Responsibility for CAS imports, providing clearance instructions for agents to clear goods on import, chasing copy entries, import entry amendments, reporting requirements, identifying and managing duty mitigation opportunities andefficiencies, maintaining accurate and auditable import records.

Export Management: Responsibility for CAS exports, producing export documentation, applying for and adjudicating export licensing requirements to comply with Singapore and US

export regulations, managing transactions clearing export blocks, booking shipments with freight forwarders, approval of freight forwarder charges. Maintaining accurate and auditable export records.

GT Management: Responsible for all aspects of the global trade program and working with the CAS business to understand GT requirements. A critical part of the role is global trade policy and procedure implementation which involves the flow down and implementation of Collins GT procedures among the CAS business. The Duties will also include responding to trade compliance questions from business leaders, export classification activities, licence and authorization management, and sanctions and embargo compliance, as well as adhoc projects/requests.

Logistics: Responsibility for supporting logistics with shipments in the APAC region. This includes working with logistics, and managing freight forwarders, and compliance.

Reporting Structure :

The role reports to the APAC Global Trade Manager for the CAS business.

Experience :

The following experience is preferred but not essential. Candidates who can demonstrate experience and transferrable skills will be considered:

Experience in a customs or international trade compliance related role

Experience of United States, Singapore, and other APAC export regulations

Project or program management experience

Experience of interpreting and managing policies and procedures

Developing and implementing standard work

Experience in coordination of import activity

Personal Attributes :

Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization

Proactive, responsive, self-motivated, receptive to change.
