About this team:
The Enterprise Monitoring Solutions team at FIS is responsible for providing monitoring and observability solutions that are geared towards prevention of incidents and reduction of MTTR. We work with various business units and technology teams across FIS to deliver end-to-end visibility into the performance, availability and health of our systems and services. We leverage cutting-edge technologies to build scalable and reliable solutions that enable detect problems proactively, faster troubleshooting, root cause analysis and incident resolution.
What you will be doing:
- Define and implement the observability strategy and roadmap for the enterprise, aligned with the business objectives and the IT architecture vision.
- Design and develop observability solutions using industry best practices and standards, such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Elastic, etc.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the observability engineers and developers, ensuring the quality and consistency of the observability solutions. This is while executing hands-on and having responsibility for delivery.
- Collaborate with the IT stakeholders, such as application owners, developers, operations, security, and governance teams, to understand their observability needs and requirements, and provide them with the appropriate solutions and tools.
- Evaluate and recommend new and emerging observability technologies and tools, and conduct proof of concepts and pilots to assess their feasibility and value.
What you bring:
- Around 10 years of experience in IT, 5 years of experience in observability, monitoring, or related domains.
- Deep expertise and hands-on experience in observability and monitoring technologies and tools, such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Dynatrace, New Relic etc.
- Strong knowledge and experience in cloud-based architecture, especially AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Evaluate and recommend new and emerging observability technologies and tools, and conduct proof of concepts and pilots to assess their feasibility and value.
- Willing to work in 2pm to 11pm IST Shifts.
Added bonus if you have:
- AWS Solutions Architect certification or Azure Solutions Architect certification would be a definite plus.
- Exposure to financial services technologies and domain knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of FIS service and products
