Job Description:
As a Hotel Sales Manager, your role involves proactively driving business through direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointments, and hotel tours. You create strategic action plans to increase sales revenue. You identify performance opportunities, recommend tools and training for the sales team, and collaborate with hotel teams to enhance skills and allocate sales and marketing resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy: Understand and align with the hotel's business strategies, setting goals, and determining action plans to meet objectives. Regularly update action plans and financial objectives.
Market Expansion: Identify new markets and business opportunities to increase sales. Represent the hotel in various events and exhibitions.
Sales Action Plans: Implement sales action plans outlined in the marketing plan, ensuring alignment with market areas.
Daily Sales Activities: Conduct daily sales calls, arrange site inspection trips for corporate clients, and provide timely responses.
Customer Service: Always provide the highest quality of service to customers. Participate in sales calls to acquire new business and/or close deals.
Operational Support: Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence.
Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with front office teams and key internal/external stakeholders. Strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
Rate Negotiations: Work closely with the Revenue Manager to ensure rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotel.
Training and Development: Assess training needs based on data and interactions with the sales team. Provide guidance and support for skill development.
