Lead Principal Product Manager

Main responsibilities and tasks: 

The Lead Principal Product Manager will be a key leader to support the key objectives of the Amadeus Revenue Accounting.

Common accountabilities:
 

Has depth and/or breadth of expertise in Revenue Management, Revenue accounting. Provides expert guidance, promotes innovation and formally trains groups of less experienced professionals.​Has a broad understanding of the Airline, Travel industry and uses it to improve efficiency, recommends solutions/best practices and influence the strategy of the department. Translates the strategy of the activity into a concrete action plan for the area, setting and monitoring targets for the team. ​Works independently, based on management directions. May coordinate functional teams or projects and serves as a best practices/quality resource. 

 
Specific accountabilities:
 

Articulate & Develop value propositions and key messages corresponding to problem statements, and articulate them into new product concepts or upgrades.Define the product strategy, vision & the business value in line with the business owners and other relevant stakeholders.Analyze solution offerings of competitors and define the strategic positioning of the product in alignment with Product Marketing Management.Manage 3rd party partnerships: requirement definition and prioritization, coordination of product evolution and other activities with the partner.Embark Amadeus teams on product vision, share product knowledge and ensure mutual understanding of the business.Drive co-innovation with customers to validate customer value drivers, define features of the products (MVP and beyond), and prioritize based on effort and expected business value.Define and manage product roadmap; socialize and align timelines with relevant stakeholders. Work closely with Product Marketing Management, Operations (Customer Service/Delivery/Go To Market) and R&D teams to define priorities and releasing plan for new products or upgrades.Coordinate different functional and technical streams with R&D teams to ensure end to end solution consistency.Manage the budget for area of responsibility including capacity planning with R&D.Participate in Agile events (Lean Portfolio Management, PI planning, System demos, Inspect and Adapt workshops…) when applicable / required.When applicable, fulfill Product Owner role or ART PM and work with R&D teams to maximize the agile teams outcome.Ensure solutions (to be) released meet the users needs and product readiness guidelines.

Required skills and qualifications:

The product manager should have experience in Strategic thinking & product management practisesAirline / Travel domain Perform market analysis and competitive analysisLeading customer interaction and management. You will operate in SAFe environment with a wide range of teams, people & customers to identify and define product, market and business needs. (Good to have)
