Business Analyst

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to translate business objectives and customer needs into clearly written business requirements
.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Requirement gathering, documentation, exploring existing features for a good fit, and implementing new features and enhancements.
- Works with partners to capture requirements in a standard format that can serve as the foundation for developing technical documentation.
- Writing formal requirements and functional specifications following industry standards; creating process flow diagrams, etc.
- Overseeing implemented changes; communicating impact to affected business areas.
- Evaluate current processes and procedures to ensure relevance and accuracy. Make recommendations for changes and keep documentation current.
- Act as a resource for IT staff and business units ensuring quality, testing, and documentation.
- Validate the design documentation with the appropriate parties and receives approval on these documents.
- Create and maintain basic to moderate SQL-based reports to support business processes and initiatives.
- Develop and document vetted contingency plans in case of risks or roadblocks
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
REQUIREMENTS - Required (R) Desired (D)
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science/Management (R)
- Certification related to Business Analysis and/or Scrum. (D)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a business analyst. (R)
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve small to medium-scale, basic to moderate business and systems issues. (R)
- Minimum 2 years of experience creating industry-standard business requirements and process documentation. (R)
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to express oneself clearly, over the telephone, in person, or writing. (R)
- Ability to think and work effectively under pressure and accurately prioritize and complete tasks within established timeframes. (R)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality. (R)
- Ability to assume responsibility and exercise good judgment when making decisions within the scope of the position. (R)
- Certification such as IIBA, CBAP, HIPAA, ISTQB, CSPO, and CSM. (D)
