Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Node.js Backend Developer with 3 to 5 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable server-side applications that power our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with the front-end development team and collaborate with other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend Development: Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js, and other relevant technologies.
  • API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs to support frontend and mobile applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Database Management: Work with databases, both SQL and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL), to store and retrieve data efficiently.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize server-side code for speed and scalability.
  • Security: Implement security best practices to protect user data and prevent security vulnerabilities, including data encryption and authentication.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Testing: Write unit tests and conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and quality of the backend code.
  • Version Control: Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage and track changes to the codebase.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for APIs and backend systems.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues and provide support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a Node.js Backend Developer.
  • Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of security best practices in web development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Knowledge :

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. (Optional / Preferred ONLY)
