Job title: Technical Sales Engineer

Job location: Hyderabad.

Educational qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil disciplines

 

Work Experience:

1) Experience: 2 to 4 years’ experience with proven track record in technical sales, preferably in the construction, engineering, or building materials industry. Experience selling MEP support products or related solutions will be advantageous.

2)  Technical Skills: Ability to understand CAD drawings, basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects. Familiarity with pipe supports, clamps, and hangers will be highly regarded.

3)  Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and fluency to speak Telugu (mandatory), any other regional languages of South India is added advantage. Should be able to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical audience.

 4) Travel: Willingness to travel within the South India region to visit project site, meet customers and attend industry events (as and when required).

5) Demonstrated ability to drive sales and generate leads with persuasion skills are essential.

6) A proactive and solution-oriented mindset to address customer inquiries and technical challenges effectively.

7) A customer-centric approach with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

 

Job Profile:

1) Identify potential customers in the South India region, including MEP related consultants, engineering and construction firms, contractors, and distributors. Generate leads and actively pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.

2) Gain a deep understanding of products and their applications in various projects. Provide technical guidance and support to customers, helping them select the most appropriate products for their specific needs.

3) Conduct engaging sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase our value proposition. Clearly articulate how our solutions can meet the unique requirements of customers' projects.

4) Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Address their inquiries promptly, resolve any technical issues, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

5) stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments. Use this knowledge to identify new business opportunities and strategize effective sales approaches.

6) Collection of payments and relevant documents for commercial closure of orders independently. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and progress toward targets.

7) Work closely with the sales and technical support teams, sharing feedback, and coordinating efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and overall sales performance.

8) Conduct product training or Mock-up sessions at site for customers, distributors and their staff to increase product awareness and proficiency in presenting products.

9) Prepare regular sales reports for reporting manager, management, including forecasts and market insights.
