Order to Cash Transformation Specialist

We are seeking an OTC Transformation Specialist to join our Accounting team. This position will contribute to the development and implementation of the order-to-cash transformation strategy in alignment with Clearwater’s overall objectives and goals. They will create project schedules and communication plans, collaborate with key stakeholders to identify process improvement and automation opportunities, and create project schedules and communication plans. 

The ideal candidate will have the ability to present high-level plans for executives and stakeholders, translate business requirements into well-architected solutions, and is a self-starter who operates with a sense of urgency and is highly process-driven and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities:

Create high level architecture diagrams that you can relate to both technical and business minded individuals.

Lead or participate in technical integration discussions and design workshops.

Contribute to the development and implementation of the order to cash transformation strategy in alignment with the organization’s overall objectives and goals.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the order to cash transformation initiative.

Document key assumptions and dependencies established through estimation activities.

Drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working within the order to cash process.

Ensure proper documentation of scope of work with help from cross team functional partners.

Estimate resource needs with help from functional partners.

Facilitate scope definition, and high-level planning, discovery, and estimation workshops for order to cash transformation project with cross-functional teams.

Partner with IT and other functional areas to integrate order to cash systems.

Prevent scope creep, record causes of change, and facilitate change requests to ensure impacts to schedule or budget, as well as forecasts, are approved and communicated in a timely manner.

Validate that scope can be completed within timeline and budget.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, business administration or related field.

8+ years of progressive experience.

Six Sigma, project management, or change management certification.

Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to tailor communication and key messages to the audience.

Experience with data strategies and middleware and data warehousing solutions.

Knowledge of the full billing cycle, including: Invoicing, Invoice Templates, Payment and Payment Gateway configuration. Revenue Recognition, Financial Reporting, and integration into the ERP system.

Order to cash process improvement experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Jira).

Strategic thinker capable of translating a vision into tactical execution.

Strong familiarity with cloud enterprise applications such as CRM software, ERP, Application Development, or low code software, with a keen interest in future technologies in the space.

Strong knowledge of public company best practices.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects, multitask, and prioritize competing demands effectively.

Systems implementation experience, and experience with large third-party applications (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce).

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience as a Solution Architect or similar role on 3+ projects that were at least 6 months in duration
