Amazon Payment Products builds, launches, and manages Amazon branded payment and financial services worldwide. Our offerings are growing rapidly and we are continuously adding new market-leading features and launching new products to enhance the Amazon customer experience.

The Item Level Financing (ILF) team is responsible for enabling customers to be able to avail different financing options for the same ordering cart. This is a complex product area with complex technical problems to solve. This feature solves a very important customer pain point and has high impact.

Job responsibilities

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will be responsible for driving various product and partner launches for ILF across the globe. You will work closely with Product Management and Technology team as well as various Business Operations, Finance and Accounting teams to implement strategy and execution. You will establish a deep understanding of product design, technical design and implementation details and represent your tech team to partners (internal as well as external). You will establish commitments from dependencies, anticipate risks, prevent bottlenecks, ensure high quality deliveries, and increase the productivity and velocity of the team.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage delivery of complex and ambiguous customer-facing programs working across teams and organizations within Amazon as well as with external partners
- Work with product management, engineering teams and external partners and define technical requirements
- Write high level technical solution documents for problems areas as needed
- Cover end to end program management for the entire lifecycle of the program from planning till launch including aspects such as (but not limited to) planning, risk management, requirements management, change management and stakeholder management.
- Build, integrate, and maintain reporting for areas of responsibility within existing reporting schemes and mechanisms. Where required, implement new reporting.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders in multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver on agreed upon milestones. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs Plan and coordinate events including facilitation and action item management.
- Implement or enable virtuous continuous improvement processes in team so as to maximize team productivity.
- Develop, Own, and report on: program goals, performance, efficacy and efficiency to a variety of stakeholders across different technical domains and at varying cadences (weekly / monthly / quarterly) through well written documents for area of responsibility.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
