Job Title: Associate Technical Architect

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Presales Technical Architect specializing in Appian to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with potential clients, understanding their business needs, and crafting technical solutions using the Appian platform and utilizing the technical team. You will work closely with our sales team to deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept (POCs) that highlight the value of Appian in meeting client requirements. You will manage a team of technical resources, get the high-quality output from them and manage their performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with sales team and customers to understand their needs and objectives.

• Assess client requirements and convert them into effective Appian solutions.

• Design effective solutions utilizing various Appian components, integrations, and Appian AI.

• Utilize the technical team to get the project delivered while following agile methodologies.

• Present demos and POCs to internal and external stakeholders, that effectively showcase the solution fitment.

• Create effort estimation, manage scrum sprints, and perform code reviews for quality deliverables.

• Participate in RFI / RFP responses and technical architecture discussions.

• Lead architecture & solutions discussion with customer and influence technical decisions.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members for any technical issues.

• Lead and manage the mid-size (5-8) team of technical resources for work allocation, estimation, delivery, monitoring, feedback, and performance management.

• Develop and enforce Appian best practices, reusable components and frameworks.

• Stay updated on Appian product updates & industry trends and share the same with the team and the customers.

• Manage the Appian platform upgrade process, ensuring minimal disruptions.

• Collaborate with COE teams on technical aspects and Design team on UI / UX aspects respectively.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (B.Tech / B.E. / MCA).

• 7-8 years of experience in delivering complex and large-scale enterprise implementations in Appian

• Deep understanding of Appian's architecture, components, capabilities, and limitations.

• Strong experience in creating scalable solutions utilizing various Appian components like Process Modelling, Sites, Portals, Integrations, Process Mining, and Appian AI capabilities.

• Proficiency in integration technologies like REST API, SOAP, JSON, Message queues etc.

• Hands on with database design, data modelling and security aspects.

• Exposure to Agile framework and managing agile delivery through JIRA.

• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively.

• Experience in creating and presenting process flows, technical demos and POCs.

• Experience in managing a mid-size team and able to guide resources on technical and non-technical aspects.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple assignments in parallel.

• Certification in Appian (Appian Certified Lead Developer) preferred.

• Exposure in RPA, AI / ML technologies and Generative AI would be preferred.

• Domain experience in BFSI would be an added advantage.

Other Preferred Skills

• Previous leadership role in an IT services company

• Experience in Low Code / No Code technologies like, Service Now, Power Platform is highly preferable

• Experience in Project Management and team management• Understanding of User Experience (UX) concepts.
