Senior Software Quality Engineer In Test

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a SeniorSoftware Quality Engineer In Test to join ourteam.

Responsibilties:
  • Developautomation and manual testing strategies including the entrance andexit criterion for testing to begin and end and eventually bepushed from staging toproduction.
  • Assist junior team members inboth technology testing standards and processes as well as adaptingto the corporateculture.
  • Test application servers webservers load balancers proxy servers and databases in a complexdistributed computingenvironment.
  • Test cloud based technologiessuch as AWS GCP orAzure.
  • Resolve technical issues and codequality problems by working with Development DBAs DevOps ProductManagement and Quality AssuranceTeams.
  • Develop both manual and automatedtest cases using opensource or commercial automation toolssupporting the following platforms: mobile web tablet and APItesting.
  • Document all steps for manualtest cases and store them in a test repository for use in smoketests regression tests and sprintsignoffs.
  • Query the backend middleware orfrontend system to determine the root cause of a system failure andreport this appropriately in a serviceticket.
  • Test systems configured withWindows Linux SQL MySQL MongoDB and Publish/Subscribemiddleware.
  • Define the positive negative andboundary test cases for complexscenarios.

Requirements
  • At least 5 years in asoftware quality engineeringrole.
  • Demonstrate a solidgrasp of Agile techniques and ceremonies for both Kanban andSCRUM.
  • Experience scriptingwith automationtools.Cypressis amust.
  • Coding in anyhighlevellanguageJavascriptis amust.
  • Familiar with bothREST and SOAP calls and the related test tools such as SOAPUIPostman orSwagger.
  • Familiar withsoftware testing concepts: regression testing negative testingWhite Box v. Black Box functional v. nonfunctional testing smoketesting and integrationtesting.
  • Experience utilizingautomation scripts and tools to supportaCI&CDpipeline.
  • Solid knowledge ofwebbased manual and automated testing bestpractices.
  • Experiencemaintaining documentation on software test methodology and qualityassurancepractices.
  • Solid web testing andautomation skills indepth knowledge of automation tools such asCypress andAxios.
  • A strongunderstanding of page objectmodel.
  • Experience with SQLand writing complexqueries
  • Willingness to workwith people of diverse backgrounds andexperiences.

Solid web testing and automation skills,in-depth knowledge of automation tools such as Cypress and Axios. Astrong understanding of page object model. Experience with SQL andwriting complex queries Willingness to work with people of diversebackgrounds and experiences.
