Job Description:

At Infraveo, we are seeking a skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software products. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automation and manual testing strategies to ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop automation and manual testing strategies, including entrance and exit criteria for testing.
  • Assist junior team members in technology testing standards and processes.
  • Test application servers, web servers, load balancers, proxy servers, and databases in a complex distributed computing environment.
  • Test cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Resolve technical issues and code quality problems by working with Development, DBAs, DevOps, Product Management, and Quality Assurance Teams.
  • Develop both manual and automated test cases using open-source or commercial automation tools.
  • Document all steps for manual test cases and store them in a test repository.
  • Query the backend, middleware, or frontend system to determine the root cause of a system failure and report it appropriately.
  • Test systems configured with Windows, Linux, SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Publish/Subscribe middleware.
  • Define positive, negative, and boundary test cases for complex scenarios.

Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a software quality engineering role.
  • Demonstrate a solid grasp of Agile techniques and ceremonies for both Kanban and SCRUM.
  • Experience scripting with automation tools, with Cypress being a must.
  • Coding in any high-level language, with Javascript being a must.
  • Familiar with both REST and SOAP calls and the related test tools.
  • Familiar with software testing concepts, including regression testing, negative testing, White Box v. Black Box, functional v. non-functional testing, smoke testing, and integration testing.
  • Experience utilizing automation scripts and tools to support a CI & CD pipeline.
  • Solid knowledge of web-based manual and automated testing best practices.
  • Experience maintaining documentation on software test methodology and quality assurance practices.
  • Solid web testing and automation skills, with in-depth knowledge of automation tools such as Cypress and Axios.
  • A strong understanding of the page object model.
  • Experience with SQL and writing complex queries.
  • Willingness to work with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
