Lead Risk Analytics Consultant

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives, and delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting, and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics
- Manage RMG Access and Infrastructure requests including PYFARM infrastructure, HDFS, Confluence, JIRA etc
- Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models
- Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance
- Resolve data, production, business modeling, and lead team to meet risk analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals
- Lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced team members
- Partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies
- Support efforts related to G&O, COSO, EUCT and Information Security compliance. Develop documentation including process narratives and desktop procedures ensuring compliance within key policy and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with development and production teams to lead internal and external audit as well as regulatory engagements, ensuring robust control documentation and timely and appropriate communication with testing teams within the following areas: Credit stress testing, Basel, financial planning, decision support and Allowance/CECL processes.
- Enhance, execute, and document model implementation and execution control processes, as well as have responsibility for collecting evidence of process controls and interacting directly with stakeholders.
- Design and implement enhancements for infrastructure solutions supporting the model development and execution
- Overall experience around 9-12 years in similar role
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative fields such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics or computer science
- 5+ years of experience in credit risk analytics and reporting
- 5+ years of programming expertise in SAS or Python
- Experience in cloud deployment ( GCP/AWS/Azure)
- Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
- Knowledge and understanding of issues or change management processes
- Experience determining root cause analysis
- Flexibility with changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn business operations and processes
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change
- Experience in developing partnerships and collaborating with diverse team members representing diverse functional areas
- Intermediate to advanced operational experience of Hadoop systems
- Intermediate to advanced coding ability using Python, R, or other open source programming languages as well as data processing using SQL, pandas, PySpark, etc.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Cloud computing services
- Hands-on experience with model implementation and result auditing utilizing best practices and methodologies in the areas of data processing, test design/specification, performance assessment, and evaluation testing
- Experience with model forms and output particularly with machine learning based models
- Good understanding of modeling concepts, familiarity with model implementation and production, and model governance
- Experience with risk management concepts, audit, and controls
- Understanding of key regulatory compliance risk components, including experience driving consistency and quality across all aspects of a risk function, including a solid understanding of process controls
- Strong conceptual and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments with challenging timelines
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
