PositionOverview: As a Quality Lab Assistant you will play avital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of materials andprocesses used in construction projects. Working under thesupervision of senior quality control personnel you will beresponsible for conducting various tests and inspections in thelaboratory to verify compliance with industry standards and projectspecifications. This position requires attention to detail stronganalytical skills and a commitment to maintaining highqualitystandards.

MainResponsibilities:

  • Performphysical and chemical tests on construction materials such asconcrete asphalt soil aggregates and steelreinforcement.
  • Followstandardized testing procedures and protocols to ensure accurateand reliable results
  • Record testdata accurately and maintain detailed records of test results forfuture reference.
  • Inspect incomingmaterials and components to ensure they meet quality requirementsand specifications.
  • Monitorconstruction processes such as concrete mixing and placement toidentify potential quality issues or deviations fromstandards.
  • Communicate any observeddefects or nonconformists to the appropriate personnel forcorrective action.
  • Calibratelaboratory equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and reliabilityof test results.
  • Perform routinemaintenance tasks on laboratory instruments and equipment to keepthem in optimal workingcondition.
  • Identify and report anyequipment malfunctions or deficiencies for promptresolution.
  • Prepare test reports anddocumentation summarizing test procedures results andfindings.
  • Assist in the preparationof quality control reports for internal review and clientsubmission.
  • Ensure all documentationcomplies with regulatory requirements and projectspecifications.


Requirements
  • Bachelorsdegree or Diploma in Civil Engineering Materials Science or relatedfield.
  • 6months to 4 years of experience in constructionrelated QualityControl Laboratorywork.
  • Strongunderstanding of quality control principles and practices in theconstructionindustry.
  • Familiaritywith testing methods and procedures for constructionmaterials.
  • Proficiencyin using laboratory equipment and software for dataanalysis.
  • Excellentattention to detail and accuracy in recording testresults.
  • Effectivecommunication skills both verbal andwritten.
  • Abilityto work independently and as part of a team in a fastpacedenvironment.
