Laboratory Incharge

Summary:
The Lab Incharge is responsible for the overall management and operation of the laboratory, ensuring that it provides accurate, timely, and safe laboratory services to patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of all laboratory personnel, including technicians, phlebotomists, and assistants.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Oversee the performance of laboratory tests and maintain quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.
- Manage laboratory inventory and ensure adequate supplies of reagents, equipment, and other materials.
- Train and orient new laboratory personnel and provide ongoing training and education to all staff.
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and identify and resolve problems that may affect the quality of laboratory services.
- Prepare and submit reports on laboratory performance and productivity.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on new laboratory technologies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment in the laboratory and enforce all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure that laboratory services meet their needs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in laboratory software and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team..
