Role overview
As a BDR, you will be responsible for outbound sales prospecting. Your work revolves around generating and qualifying new leads—and moving them through the sales pipeline, until they’re ready to talk to the account executives and other sales “closers.” Someone who can talk to customers, ask questions to identify their needs, and then explain solutions that will turn them into paying customers. As the first line of communication with prospects, you will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting our sales closers up for success. You should be a quick learner with strong communication skills, and have the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Every potential customer is an opportunity for you to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.

This role requires enthusiasm, friendly and professional attitude, and strong verbal and written communication. If you're a monotone robotic speaker on the phone, this role is not for you. If you can get a grandma excited about electronic signatures, we want to talk to you :)

Note: This is a North American sales role and requires you to work in the US time zone.

Responsibilities:

Identify decision makers in organizations across key industries/functions and build a prospect list Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales accounts. Prospect within existing customer base to find upsell and cross sell opportunities. Qualify prospects based on their current business challenges and needs using targeted and relevant questions  Be proficient at using a sales development platform to execute the outreach process consisting of phone, email, and social touches  Meet or exceed qualified lead/demos quota every month  Strive to continuously improve your sales development process and demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement best practices Own and execute outreach to targeted accounts and prospect lists in a personalized manner Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and account executives Share insights from existing sales funnel and evaluate the performance of lead channels/campaigns Be available for phone calls and meetings with customers and team members in other time zones

Requirements:

You should have experience prospecting on outbound leads. You should have worked closely with the GTM teams and driven registrations for online and in-person events like webinars, expert sessions, conferences, etc. You should have experience working on sequencing tools, data enrichment tools, LI Navigator, etc. You would be responsible for generating a target no. of qualified leads in a month for the sales team using outbound outreach (email, cold calls, social selling) Prospect into target account lists to identify the right stakeholders to contact at each account Personalize messaging based on your research to improve reply rates, showcase empathy and build credibility to get them interested in the product. Qualify prospects by developing an understanding of their current needs and pain points. Pass qualified prospects off to the appropriate sales rep by booking a meeting and sharing qualification notes.

Qualifications:

2 plus years of experience in sales development, account executive or inside sales specialist role in a SaaS or Tech company Proficiency with Hubspot or other CRM software Ability to hit goals in a fast paced sales environment with accurate lead management in a CRM, proven by past experience and results Team player, with a strong self-starter attitude Desire and drive to always be learning Strong written and verbal communication skills Confident, positive, friendly, and professional attitude BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
