Overview

Main purpose:

The role is responsible for shaping and executing external communication strategies that align with PepsiCo India's values, business objectives. The role will own the Corporate Reputation Agenda, Executive communication and thought leadership for of India CEO Office. The role will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets, influencers, and other stakeholders to enhance the company reputation.

Role will also act as the contact person for sector & global teams for the India BU when it comes to external comms.

Responsibilities

Accountability:

The role holder will be responsible to primarily support in following areas:

Corporate Reputation Management:

Develop and execute strategies to further enhance corporate reputation.

Monitor industry trends, public sentiment, and competitive landscape to proactively address potential reputational challenges.

Develop and Implement PR Strategy:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive PR and external communications strategies aligned with PepsiCo's business objectives.

Create and execute national and regional campaigns especially around sustainability to drive corporate reputation.

Media Relations:

Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers.

Proactively pitch stories and respond to media inquiries, ensuring positive and accurate coverage of PepsiCo's activities. Organise FAM trip to sustainability projects, manufacturing plants to showcase best in class innovation and technology.

Content Creation:

Create compelling and engaging content for press releases, speeches, articles, and other communication materials – Corporate brochures, videos and reports.

Ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels.

Thought Leadership:

Identify opportunities for thought leadership initiatives, including speaking engagements, op-eds, and industry conferences and summits.

Position PepsiCo executives as industry leaders through strategic communication efforts.

Crisis Management:

Providing clear and timely communication to protect company's reputation and address any potential crisis.

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives and subject matter experts, to create storytelling opportunities on topics like DE&I, Sustainability, EVP, Digitalisation.

Measurement and Analysis:

Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and threats.

Qualifications

Key Skills/Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field. Master's degree is a plus. Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt communication styles to diverse audiences. Strong media relations experience. Creative thinking and ability to develop innovative PR campaigns. Crisis management experience and ability to handle high-pressure situations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Proactive, creative, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficient in using digital communication tools and platforms. Familiarity with analytics and measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of communications initiatives.
