Job Description
The Fracturing expert is responsible for to assist with stimulation services which include major hydraulic
fracturing. He reports to DGM Petroleum Engineering and co-ordinates with the PE and various other
stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree or equivalent in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
Fluent in English.
Experience:
Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience as a fracturing expert for managing oil well operations with
minimum experience of 5 years as frac design Expert.
In depth knowledge of frac chemicals and its application.
Experience of fracturing in high permeable reservoir.
This role will support:
historical data analysis
hydraulic fracturing design generation
asset planning
operational planning and execution
asset/corporate documentation requirements
partner(s) interaction (external and internal)
Roles and responsibilities:
Provide support for Hydraulic Fracturing job designs, support management on technical and strategic
decisions associated with fracturing,
Advancing new technologies, promote knowledge, train engineers, etc.
Advise and critique hydraulic fracturing treatment design in Deviated / horizontal wells in various cairn
fields.
Review and prepare various SOP associated with hydraulic fracturing.
Frac cost monitoring and optimization
Pressure modeling/management Including, but not limited to, net pressure, bottom hole pressure,
wellbore friction and surface pressures
Step rate tests/DFIT / Minifrac / Main Frac analysis
Estimated friction pressures due to tortuosity vs. perforations, estimated leak-off and pre-treatment frac
gradients
Screen-out minimization via continuous on-site management
Participate in building a strong HSE culture. Demonstrate HSE awareness in Oil & Gas well
intervention operations
Responsible for performing short risk analysis.
Perform and Review Geomechanically model.
Perform, Design & Review fracture design models for the potential reservoirs.
Be able to provide useful input in relation to completion, perforation, proppant type, fluid designs,
equipment selection etc.
Provide HF candidate zone selection recommendation.
Sensitive/ Uncertainty Analysis.
Participate and Review Post Frac Analysis and History Matching
Perform a post job production potential.
